Route following and rerouting

Hi all -- I must be doing something wrong -- when I load up a trip on my android phone and click to allow changes - when I'm following a route and I decide to change, (In an area that I know for example) the route redirects me to the last turn I should have made - eg: it shows that I need to make a U trun, or a turn that will take me back to a turn I should have made -- At times I have Trip Wizard and Google maps up and RV Trip will show me 100 miles and 90 min more than Google maps does to the same destination ???

Yeah mine does that too, with intermediate waypoints. So If I decide to change route and blow off a waypoint, Google will nag me to death about it
