Recommendations regarding RV LIFE PRO, we are planning a trip and i was wondering if the app is easy to use and worth the cost.
Thanks in advance.

The better half does the trip planning and has only ever used the RV LIFE PRO so has nothing to compare it to, but really likes it. You can pick 100, 200, or 300 mile radius for where you want to go on your next leg and they shows you ALL the campgrounds in the area you are interested in. Not just KOA or Good Sam's CGs like you get on their apps. It provides reviews of the campgrounds and can link you to the KOA, Good Sam's, etc. apps to make reservations.
You can download your trip and use the maps offline, although we haven't done that. The travel maps do show low clearances, etc. that you don't get on Google Maps or Waze.
We've used it for multiple 6 - 8 week trips from New England, the Midwest, and are currently planning a trip down to Florida.
She finds it easy to use and well worth the cost.

For route planning the phone app is OK, using it on a computer with a large screen is better. For trip planning the tool does not do anything you cannot do with google and google maps.
I can do everything in less time with RV Trip Wizard and that makes it well worth the cost.
The app is not great for driving directions but does provide info for low bridges.
Because we have a small RV, I much prefer google maps for driving.

There's a 7-day free trial. Try it out & if you don't like it, be sure you cancel before the deadline.

As a trip planner, the computer based RVTW is the best out there right now.
I don't use the phone app, especially for daily drive as I travel routing instructions.
First, I want a much larger screen than a phone can provide.
Second, I want a dedicated device, not something which is multifunction.
Third, my wife was never good at navigation. She could figure stuff out on a paper map, but she could never get acclimated to even an electronic device. Even after I bought her a Garmin GPS of her own, she could not use it well. She's been gone a little over three years, and I'm traveling alone. I certainly cannot be tweaking the route and adjusting it while driving down the highway. But I'm a pull over, stop and figure out what the stupid thing is trying to tell me.
An RV Planner, navigation device, app, etc - all only offer you ADVICE. And every one of them will at some point give you BAD advice.
Never take an unexpected command to make an unexpected change in your route, turn down a road that looks sketchy.
They don't give you ORDERS, just advice.
You as the driver have the responsibility of getting your RV and passengers safely to a destination.
No electronic device ever MADE someone take a bad route. It was their choice to follow a bad recommendation.
It is still critical for the driver to know where she/ he is going and a decent idea of what routes they plan to get there.
We hear several times a year from people who never checked the destination web site, or just plain ignore final step directions on the web site on how to get to the campground.
We will never have a completely perfect device for electronic navigation.
I find RVTW well worth the price for planning.
I also find a large screen Garmin well worth the price for daily drive monitoring.

Pro Version
I've used RV Trip Wizard for at least 5 years and it's a great planning tool. I reluctantly upgraded awhile back to the Pro subscription and didn't use anything except RVTW for awhile. I started using some of the tools included in the Pro version very recently and after a small learning curve I appreciate Pro much more. Planning with RVTW is still great and I can find free overnight stays, Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds, State and National Parks plus of course the commercial campgrounds.
I've tried a few other products early on and this is the best I've used. I would suggest that you at least give a look. Good luck!
Notes:
1) To make the different tools quicker to access, I use the Firefox browser and created Bookmarks for the tools I use. My toolbar shows a folder for RV Life with a separate bookmark within the folder for the tools I use. Quick and easy so it works for me.
2) My wife loves using a road atlas so the combination of technology and 'old school' works great.

Unfortunately, only physical addresses (no boondocking)
I tried it once and deleted it. I spend 95% boondocking in very well known BLM land in SoCal deserts and sand dunes.
RVTW (RV Life Pro) requires you to set your destination via a known & official address, you can't drop a pin on the map next to a displayed road to get to the "turn off" - so there is no chance for navigation or planning if you don't use an officially known addresses.
Oh well.
Or can someone school me otherwise?

We love it for the planning features and the reviews. Get the 7 day free trial and play with it to see what you think.
The navigation feature is a different story. We had numerous issues with that so bought a Garmin RV friendly GPS.
We are still subscribers because the planning feature is so nice.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've set many places as a 'destination'. Now there is one part I think I'm hearing you say - there must be a road for RVTW to get you close.
It doesn't know what to do when you leave the roadway system.
I just locate the place I want on the map with the satellite view, right click and "Create a custom stop"
I just set a search by long/ lat in the top Search Bar - 33.753008, -114.075721 RVTW found the location easily.
Now the route, stop almost a mile and a half from that location because that is the nearest road.

This year will be the 7th I've used RV Life Pro (originally RV Trip Wizard) for planning my trips. For me it's an invaluable tool for planning our trips.
I personally had a Garmin RV770 prior to getting TW and have continued to use if for day-to-day driving directions. I don't have a screen in my Class A that I can use for a GPS.

100% Worth It
I have been using RVTW for 1 1/2 years and love it. It has over 25k campgrounds with review’s, amenities and pictures. Uses a driving radius (set by your time or mileage settings) overlayed on a map so you can easily zone in on an area to look for campgrounds. You can even set filters for the CG’s for hookups, types (private, state etc) and memberships. Also can show low fuel warnings based on your inputted tank size and MPG.
After you plan a trip it automatically loads that info into their RV Safe GPS (using your rig’s height, weight propane etc.
It has a 7 day free trial as well
