Speed Test using WiFi not thinking I am in campground
Another Speed Test question: Is there a way to force the app or website to know where you are? Its especially problematic if I want to run a WiFi tests using different SIMs in my cell router as the app/website seems to be getting its location based on where it thinks the originating location is, right now were are near Durango CO, but if I pick WiFi (which is broadcast from my cellular router) it thinks I am in Dallas TX as that is probably where the cell signal is based, and says there isn't a campground near me. But of course I am in a campground. It seems to work the same even in Campground Reviews when I am adding a review and pick the drop-down "run a speedtest"
I find this does the same thing if I run the app on my iphone and turn off cellular so I can test other providers, like T-Mobile, Verizon etc.
Location services are on for the webpage and on the phones rvlife app. -Bill
Basically I cannot run a speed test for T-Mobile while here at Haviland National Forest, and T-Mobile is much faster than AT&T and Verizon. That information would be great to publish on the website for others thinking about staying here.

The "location" has nothing to do with your speedtest - Yes, the cell tower operator has designated that cell tower it identify itself for some corporate location - but you are still only testing the speed from your cellular device - MiFi, phone or tablet - to THAT specific cellular data connection in that cell service area.
In plain terms - the speed test you are getting IS the speed for that location, not Dallas or whatever the local identifier is calling it.
Yes, this can play havoc with Gas Buddy, Weather.com and other specific location apps. But those all let you enter a specific location to personalize the results.
Lastly, Haviland campground - is a National Forest Campground not a state park and it is our very favorite campground. We've been once or twice a year for the past 12 years. We were there in May this year right after it opened and we'll be there again for 11-days in Sept right before it closes for the season.
The area around the lake is a State Park up until the picnic area on the far side of the little road over the dam. Where it says "Fee Area" is National Forest.
We always stay in Loop D and usually in site 11. We love it there.

Unfortunately it DOES matter to rvlife app and website, the campgrounds don't get the speed tests I run as they think we are somewhere else.

That's just RV Park Reviews speed test. I didn't realize that you were concerned about the speedtest there - using www.fast.com and www.speedtest.net are the speedtests that really matter.
I have seen that error before at RV Park Reviews when I'm leaving a review.

Those other sites don't post to the RVLife Apps, you must use the RVlife website or apps to post the speeds so others can benefit from that information. That's all my OP is about. I want to know how to be able to post it to their speedtest DB when their app cannot tell I am in the campsite lately.

Solved (Partially)
I had the same issue at the next campground while there a couple of nights also. But today, after moving 100 miles the website is figuring out where I am and allowing me to post Speedtests from the website to the campground. I made no changes, as none were needed to the web browser, I use Firefox, but edge and chrome were experiencing the same clueless location issue for the CR website.
Unfortunately, the RVlife app is still broken, it cannot figure out that I am in a park. (yes, my GPS knows where I am, only the RVLife app won't figure it out)
