Suggested Enhancement: Tentative Stops
It would really be helpful to be able to include stops on a trip which are "optional" or "tentative" and which do not impact routing or costs. I do realize that you can copy the trip and create alternatives, but that is really not effective or convenient for multiple alternatives. If there was a way to just flag a stop as "optional/tentative", you could just have a single trip with the info captured and the quick ability to turn them on/off as active stops. This would also allow you to see what your trip looks like if you need to potentially skip or add a stop due to weather, opportunity, etc (You know, RV Life ;-). I hope this is something that you will consider.
Thanks

While under way one can easily opt to pick the next stop and avoid a planned stop. I do that with gas stops. I add a couple in case there are issues with my first one.

I just select the tentative stop and pull it down below the next few days travel to see changes that would occur.
That lets me put that one stop back in position easy. Any maybe move another which might work better.

The challenge with this option is that my stats, distances, etc are all impacted if I put active stops on the trip, regardless of where they are placed. I am looking to have stops that do not impact anything until I make them active. Thanks for the response. Cheers

Another vote for this feature! Working on a trip coming up real soon and like to do "what ifs" but not necessarily delete stuff I have already planned. Yeah, I know I can move it to the end but then it affects routing at the end of the trip.

I'll add on that it would be nice to have a category for Toad/Sightseeing stops.
Right now, I add them to the trip a "0" night stops.

Yes!
Tentative/ Alternate stops that. Don't change the routing until you specifically select them in the app.

I agree!
This is the one killer feature that Roadtrippers Plus has.
Each waypoint has an on/off toggle. The waypoints shows on the map either way, but when "on", the route uses the waypoint; when "off", it doesn't affect the routing in any way.
This is the reason we switched from RV Trip Wizard to Roadtrippers for a while (a recent update unfortunately introduced more downsides and we're back to RV Trip Wizard).
Not only is this nice when evaluating alternatives and/or seeing the relation of tentative stops to the "main" plan, but we tend to camp near points of interest and use the campground as a basecamp to see other things.
So the campground is "on", and things like: State Parks, National Parks, museums, restaurants we've looked up - these are all "off".
Looking at the map, we can see the distance and time between where we'll camp, but also the off-route activities we plan to do.
Please copy/steal this feature!!

Great idea! It would also be nice to be able to do a hub and spoke scenario for day outings from a basecamp.

Waypoint on/off sounds like an excellent enhancement and would be used a real lot by many.

I couldn't agree more. I hope someone from RV Life is following.
I'd like to put a POI (Nat Pk) on the route with the actual date I want to visit. If I put it following the CG I'm staying it only lists the PIO as the date of departure. Also, it fouls up the mileage from one destination to the next.

GREAT idea!
I would love the ability to make a site inactive (and not effect route or mileage).
I like to include a few alternate sites in my trip plan, where such sites could be used if my primary site is not available on my trip dates.

100% agree. This is the single greatest enhancement to make. As it stands right now I have to manually title day trips around our base camp for dates and times and manually work out milage and fuel. The ability to toggle waypoints on or off makes planning a lot more flexible too.
