Time Difference between Wizard & App

I've created a trip in RVTripWizard on my laptop. It tells me the trip will take 2 hours and 17 minutes (which is about right, as I've made this trip in the past). When I load that same trip in the RV App on my phone its telling me the duration is 3 hours and 48 minutes. Mileage is off slightly (126 vs 118) but route is the same as far as I can tell. Not concerned about the mileage difference, but the time estimate is way off. I've tried this on a couple of different scenarios with similar results. Why is that and how to I fix that?

It usually starts out quite a bit higher but will normalize as you start driving.

Just so you understand, RV Trip Wizard is an ONLINE service. That trip is not “on” your laptop. The actual trip data is stored on the RV Trip Wizard web server. It is available to you on any device you choose to use to access your account at Trip Wizard.

I use Trip Wizard for every trip. I have also seen this problem. I think it has to do with the way the phone calculates time when a trip crosses multiple time zones. I never paid that much attention to it, and I never attempted to try and “fix” it. If you export or print the trip, your travel times will be correct there.

I've noticed this too. Sometimes the the travel time has varied between RVTW and RV Life navigation by as much as 2-3 hours. In both cases, I'm using "RV routing," and of the route options RV Life generates, I'm selecting the one that RVTW generated when I was planning. The disparity is a bit confusing and can be problematic for planning.

Yeah, it happens and it will get settled as you drive more.
