Winter Camping in BC

Hi There
Does anyone have any experience winter Camping in BC particularly Vancouver Island. After many years of going south we are thinking of wintering at home in Canada. Has anyone done so?

Most of the RV parks on Vancouver Island ;southern half at least; are open all year , and many Canadians stay there due to travel medical cost issues.

Do you want to be in or near a large city ?
Or more remote ?
What activities are you looking for?

Winter on Vancouver Island

Hi Skip
Thanks for your reply.
we love to hike so that's our prime activity and we have been to Vancouver a number of times in the summer over the years but we were thinking on staying in or near the National Rim Park on the south of Vancouver Island. I know it will certainly be wetter and cooler than New Mexico and Texas our usual winter haunts but we have a Toad so visiting Museums and local towns would be in the plan.
I was interested to see if any members had actually wintered in that area.
Thanks again
