2015 25R axle/tire problem

I am getting VERY uneven tread wear on the rear tire on the "slide-out" side of the trailer. This was originally diagnosed as a bent axle. We have now replaced the axles and leaf springs twice, but the problem persists. After about 8000 miles of driving, 3 of the tires still look fine, but this particular wheel/tire has NO TREAD left on the inner 1/3rd of the tire. Anyone else run into this?

Welcome to iRV2 .

Sorry your first post is about a problem .

The tread wear you describe , is classic bent axle , most likely excess camber ; toe out would feather the tread all the way to the outer edge.
Tire overload produces a different pattern .
Axle mounted off line should produce wear on the outside of the tire on the other end of the axle .
Having already replaced axles; and having the same issue repeat; makes your issue a mystery
Without being set up on alignment equipment , any GUESS as to the actual cause is just that , a guess .

Does your tire look my old tire below (on my 29-5T)? This was what my left/rear tire looked like after a long trip across the US, Canada and Alaska. I thought that I had bent an axle while bouncing along on the Alaskan Highway to cause this sort of wear. But I had the undercarriage, axles, and bearings checked and the inspector didn't find any issues. I replaced the worn tire with a new one and so far I have a bit over 3,000 miles on the new tire and it looks fine. So I'm thinking it was a defective tire instead of a mechanical issue.

According to a local Goodyear dealer, tires just don't wear on the inside on their own. I've needed axles aligned on my last 3 trailers.
The shop that did my last alignment said that they do alignments on new axle installs as well. He said too many new axles aren't perfect.
I had my axles aligned about 4,000 miles ago and I'm getting the same wear on the same left rear tire as before. The other 3 are wearing normal.
Left rear seems to be the most common for some reason.

I would get the new axles aligned and go from there.

Hey Cummins Fan,
Where did you get your axles aligned? I just replaced the axles on my CreekSide 20fq because one of them had lost the arch and was wearing on the inside of the left rear. I check around where I live and everyone said to replace the axles. Since mine had Chinese Alco brand axles I felt like I was making an upgrade to Dexters so swapping them out seemed logical to me. I just want to be ready to take them someplace to get aligned if they need it. And if I had to take them several hundred miles or even out of state, I'd just make a camping trip out of it......
Thanks,
