Kstills, I'm not aware of any common problem with AF. I active on the NROA site and the only thing from that site I recall are complaints about grease on the brake drums from over filled bearings. That one is hard to determine if it's operator or if it's a factory problem. I have heard of a broken weld and I occasionally see an older one with some delamination. But way fewer than other brands. All these things are made on a production line by folks who have various commitments to quality. You're gonna have an issue or two. Just fix 'em. I'll go for spending my $ on substructure I can't see than on Glitz and Glam that doesn't hold up. Someone occasionally posts on the NROA site that they are leaving for brand X but there are almost as many posting they just sold brand X and are returning to Northwood. The only way I'd leave the Northwood family is if I just had to have a motorhome of some type. Don't see that happening.

Don't think the interiors really look stodgy, but you know what they say about opinions.

That's been my general sense of the build quality of these also. Doesn't seem to be any specific problems, just a lot of random stuff.

All dealers "move" on list price. Typical would be between 25% and 30% and as end of year or year old models don't setting for "less."

The largest Arctic Fox dealership is Thunder RV in La Grande, OR. They are a few miles from the factory. They will give you a discounted price over the phone. Call them, tell them model and options you want and they'll provide a realistic price. You can then take that to any dealer to seek the same pricing.

https://www.thunderrv.com/

Your dealer will charge about $2.00 or more per mile for delivery from Oregon. So, it's a good deal to buy from Thunder RV and drive your TT back home.

That's what I did and it was super easy. Plus, Thunder has a great relationship with the factory.

That's a consideration, I plan to drive the Dempster Hwy to the Attic Circle. Tented last time but did not go that far and wondered if a tt could make it. Although i know of people who took campers up

Consider checking out the ORV line. They are a sister company to Northwood. Similiar build methods etc. Not sure of the floorplans being different.

We've had ours 4 years now and still love it.

It was quite an adventure driving to Inuvik in 2010 with my 24-5N. Loved it. After coming back down we stayed in Dawson City, YT. A woman walked by and saw our 5th wheel and said "Dempster, huh?". LOL

At the campground in Inuvik, NT.

We looked at used one, but was too big for us, but seemed well built. Will have to see what is available, thanks
