I can't give you a definative answer as to what your percieved standard is for quality. I can tell you that Northwood has their production sold months in advance. The last time we toured the factory they mentioned they were a little over a year out on units that were already on order. They weren't producing any units just to keep the line going. Like any business, there are Monday and Friday quality issues. Personnel turnover also can affect quality and Northwood is no exception. IMHO quality had gone downhill in the post Ron Nash era. I still think the Northwood family of RVs return the best value/dollar in the industry. The 27-5 is by far Northwoods best seller and really hasn't changed since the flat front was replaced by the rounded front cap. Used 27-5s usually don't last long if they were well maintained and all Northwoods hold their value better than industry average. Don't expect any unit, new or used, to be problem free.
