How old is your Northwood?

I still have my 2007 Northwood Nash 27F and its in very fine shape. Just finished reinsulating the under side (gray, black and water), replaced the coroplast, replaced my 7 pin connector, emergency brake switch, and two new AGM batteries, so I'm good.

I have no intention of getting a new trailer, so I'll probably do a interior upgrade this year. Still have the original everything, AC, water heater, Frig, pump(s), furnace, etc.

Tires and batteries have been my biggest expense over the years.

I had a 2005 AF 22H until 2017 - replaced the tires and the regular upkeep stuff. Best TT I ever owned - would have kept it but needed something bigger so we now have an ORV 25RDS. I know of some TTs from 03 that are still going strong.

We have or 2016 27-5L. It is our first 5th wheel and suspect we will have it for a long time. Maybe through our wish to travel. We have already upgraded or added many systems to the point we would just not want to start over with a new unit. It is tall, which keeps us watching trees closely and I have made a few roof repairs when I thought we had enough clearance but nothing too big. It seems to be our perfect size in turning around and getting into those perfect boondocking sites. So much to see, we have been coast to coast and up through Alaska. I have not been anywhere yet I would not like to re-explore in the future. What a marvelous part of the worls to call our home base.

We have a 2006 Silver Fox Edition 29V we bought from original owner in 2019. They would drive it to a campground in summer and park it there so it had really low miles and easy use. Original stove, AC, fridge all working well. All systems work great. Have replaced alot of cracked dry rubber parts but everything else we have done has been upgrades. Wouldn't trade her for anything, she's awesome!

We have a 2004 31W Silver Fox Edition. Bought it from the 2nd owner I think. I put a new roof on it, replaced the dinette tabletop and relocated the main TV and installed a bedroom TV. When we bought it, the fridge wasn non-op, so I replaced the cooling unit on it and it works perfect now.

For an oddball, and I have no idea if the factory did it or the 1st owner...but someone installed a Rheem 20gal electric water heater under the kitchen sink and tied it into the TT water line, so that plus the 12gal Suburban water heater we have 32gal of hot water, and i never run out when doing dishes or taking a shower. It may have been done by the factory because I can see no way of getting that thing in there through any of the cabinet doors without ripping apart all of that cabinetry. We love it regardless LOL.

2008 Nash 25S. Bought used in 2019. Downsized from DP motorhome.

Updates: ProPride hitch
Disc brakes
43" TV
Truma Aqua Go on demand water heater
Window awnings on all windows
SiriusXM radio

Will never sell or trade this trailer. IMO these older trailers are much better built than the new ones.

Just acquired a 2006 Arctic fox 25 r .it’s our first trailer which replaces our 2000 national sea breeze we had for 14 years and over 100 trips which replaced acab over we kept for 24 years .
Have towed many things over the years some heavier than this. It came with equalizer hitch and we are using our 2001 Ford excursion limited with the 6.8 Triton engine. Was amazed that everything fit from the class a into the trailer looking forward to this new adventure and the freedom of having our excursion to move about .

We had a 2010 AF 26X, until we sold it two years ago to get an ORV. The ORV lasted about 10 or 11 months, and now we are back in AF with a 2021 27-5L.

The 26X was a pretty nice trailer, and it never gave us any real problems. I replaced lights with LEDs long ago, and traded the batteries for a single 100AH lithium battery just before we sold it.

In many ways the 27-5L is a much more comfortable rig than the 26X or the ORV, but I would have been happy with the 26X for many more years if we had not gotten the “itch” to change.

I’m still trying to adjust to backing and parking the 5er instead of the trailer. It seems so different!

We purchased a 2000 Arctic Fox 29-V used in 2005. After looking at lots of used trailers this one seemed to fit our needs. Its now 22 years old and has served us well. Over the years things wear out and need to be replaced and that has been true with us. We have replaced the converter with a smart converter which will charge, maintain and de sulfate the batteries, a water pump and self adjusting brake backing plates. Batteries and tires come along with use. This has been such a great trailer I guess it will be ours for a few more years.

G'morning!
I just bought a 2008 Nash 19B at the end of October. Two previous owners, hardly used, and kept in a aircraft hanger when not in use. Just before I bought it, it was winterized, and the previous owner bought five new tires for the dual axle and a spare. They also gave me their WD hitch, black water dump hose, grey water flush hose, tire levelers, voltage regulator, full TT cover, tire covers, marine grade sealant and roof treatment.

I was about to pull the trigger and buy a newer used 2019 Riverside Retro 189R 24' when I jumped on Craigslist one more time and found the Nash. The Retro was immediately dismissed. It looked like a piece of junk build quality wise. Im very happy I found the Nash..

2021 Artic Fox 27-5L. Slide rails and gears need replacing (possible slide not square), broken shock, defective wheel, and lots of minor problems (more than my Cougar). All of this after the one year warranty clock expired, so if you got a new Northwood product I recommend you take it to an independent service tech to find the problems before your clock runs out too. After the clock runs out Northwood's only response is "one year warranty expired".
