rainier st apex 215 75 r14 off road tires

We have a 17K OTG with rainier st apex 215 75 r14 off road tires. I have searched our area (BC), Washington and Oregon. Finally got word back from Northwood through the dealer we bought from and they can only be purchased with a rim for $700 each. Tires alone cannot be purchased. Nor have I had any success in finding D rated off road trailer tires. Has anyone been successful in finding these?

That's an interesting looking tire but I'm not sure it's any better than a regular trailer tire. Perhaps on a muddy/slick side hill, but I'm not sure why you would need a traction tire on a trailer. I like the OTG package, but I'd replace all 4 tires with a set of Goodyear Endurance. All 4 for less than one with rim.

That appears to be our only option. They are both D rated tires which seem to be rare in this size.We travel a fair amount on gravel so liked the Ranier and the clearance of the OTG. Disappointed that the manufacturers build with tires that cannot be replaced and only available with rims seems rediculous.

Don't know what kind of clearance you have, but is it possible to replace with some 15" wheels and tires. That would give you a bit more lift and way more tire options.

Looked at the Nash when we purchased our AF and noticed the off road tires with that package were made in China as the Goodyear tires made in USA. Almost seemed like a down grade to me. If it was me I would replace with an LT tire. You should be able to find an off road tire in that size.

Not in 14" you can't, they no longer exist. In fact smaller off-road 15" LT tires in 10ply no longer exist. I changed from the Endurance on our 2020 23D as i can't stand them or ST tires. The Endurance are highly overrated, I lost two in a short period of time for no apparent reason. Nothing wrong with trailer and they cannot handle anything off-road at all.

Installed 15" Falken LT235/75R15 10 ply AT3W and not only does it ride much better it handles anything thrown at it. Also upgraded the suspension to heavy duty components that are greasable. We're off-road a lot and I now have the confidence it can go where i want to.

Good info to know, thanks. As it turns out the axle is bent - off by 1/2 inch and this is out of the factory. This explains the tire wear. Sadly so many products are not made as they should be
