I didn't use a lock washer, I cut a flat one - was 0.06" thick. here are a few pics...

My shower door is the same model as yours, but it has so little play I cannot get a washer in that space 🤨

Maybe after it wears a while I can do this.

I had my ORV in for a different issue, and the dealership took care of the shower door. I said it looked like quite a job, and too much for me. The service writer just smiled and said it would be easy for the techs.

I don’t know just how they did it, but it works!

Glad to hear its fixed! Mine is still working fine with the hinge supported by the washer.
