Tires for Nash 26N
Just bought a 2019 Nash. The tires look new but the sidewall says they were made in 4/2018 and will be 7 years old this spring. To replace Goodyear Endurance tires is around $1,000. Some odd websites have them listed for $109 each. Who has heard of vpsorder of Blaena. They sound like Chinese fakes.
Other tires highly rated include Hankook Vantra, Free Country Grand Ride, and Sundek HD. 22575R15. They cost less than half what the Goodyears cost.
Any experience with these?

Here is a link to a lot of trailer tire choices in that size. Most are Asian imports.

Flip the pages for mor choices. The Hercules is becoming a bit popular for truck fleets.

I didn't hear of Prinx Chengshan Tire North America until yesterday due to a 541,000 snow tire recall due to not meeting the 3PMSF traction rating. They do manufacture a 81 MPH speed rated trailer tire in the Nash size. Same speed rating on the Free Country Grand Ride, and Sundek HD. I am skeptical about the Prinx trailer tire 81 MPH rating with their 3PMSF rated tires being not.
Goodyear Endurance, Hercules StrongGuard, and Hankook Vantra are all rated at 87 MPH. I do know that on I-80 across Nevada the maximum trailer towing speed limit is 80 MPH with straight high desert highway. I've towed on it often. Same with I-15.
Rather have ST tires that exceed the speed limit whether I tow that fast or not. A 1 mile over the maximum speed limit tire rating at 81 MPH is the tiniest amount of wiggle room. A 7 MPH rated tire over the 80 MPH is better.
With our Ram 3500 Crew Cab 4x4 long bed HO Cummins towing a 9,995 GVWR TT it's cruises easily at 80 MPH on our Eastern Utah I-70 and Wyoming I-80, but I tow normally at around 68 MPH for safety and fuel economy. Sometimes though I don't like getting within a large pack of I-80 truck traffic and will tow at the speed limit to get back to open highway. I run Goodyear Endurance, not because I like to pay more, but I have more trust in their tires than in something similar to a Prinx tire.

Shopping around, should be able to find Endurance in that size for $200, maybe just a bit under that.
Look at Provider in that size, at E-trailer $150. It is same design and quality, as Endurance. They've been out since 2010. I'm on my second set, great tire, speed rated 81 mph.
Just to inform, my understanding from studying/reading about, these newer, better built, higher speed rated ST tires; they are not meant for continuous high speed, hours at a time, at 81-87 mph, but are tested to handle that speed for shorter period. Still, much better built than previous designs that had lower speed ratings.

Endurance tires are easy to find for $200 each. That is a lot for trailer tires.
Speed rating of 80 mph is a good thing to have but I am not towing at 80 mph and I live in Nevada.
Plenty of choices, but it is hard to get any straight information about which ones will last.

Goodyear acquired Cooper. Cooper manufactures Hercules. Hercules are manufactured in Ohio from what I've read.

A couple things that I will add are:
1) If you have a tire failure on a non name brand tire, will you be able to find the same tire where you are located?
You can find Goodyear, Cooper, Hankook, Firestone, Toyo, Michelin, etc pretty much anywhere.
2) The money that you spend on a name brand tire will probably be less than what you will spend on repairs if a no name tire fails and tears up the side of your trailer.
3) If you do have a tire failure, remember that the remaining tire on that side now is carrying the whole load of that side of the trailer, and is now overloaded. To be safe, that tire should be inspected by a tire shop and possibly replaced.
Good luck with your choice.
Tim

I'll add my vote for Goodyear Endurance, not to be confused with the earlier Goodyear Marathon, which were junk. I have a couple of classic show cars that I haul around the country from time to time. The guys I know that run Endurance on their car haulers are very happy with them, as am I. My first set just aged out and I replaced them with the same.

The Hercules ST2 tires on my Bigfoot trailer when I bought it used were only 3 years old, Said Made in China on them.
This happened second trip (see attachment) I had already replaced the 2007 dated GY Marathon spare with an Endurance. Inspection of remaining Herc tires showed the one in front of the blown tire, loaded with fine wires from the blowout. On the other side, one had cracking in the bottom of the outside treads a full 360° around. Probably what happened to the blown one. I installed four new Endurance and put the remaining "good" Herc on my 5x10 utility trailer that never leaves the area. I put the old Marathon spare on the trailer also. Existing tires on the utility trailer were 20 years old.
Hankook has good lineup of the trailer tires and I suspect they are a good tire, but time will tell. Paying a high price for the Endurance is insurance against problems.
