Furnace and On Board Water

will operating the furnace keep the water system warm enough to prevent freezing?? Planning on using it, and not keen to shower in antifreeze

As a general rule, most rvs have a heat duct that runs into the tank area in the basement. If you run your furnace for a bit, then open the doors in that area, you should feel some heat in there. By and large, as long as you have some heat down there, the tanks wont freeze unless it gets below freezing for several days. If planning on leaving your rv unwinterized into the winter, you may want to consider adding extra heat below, and taking more proactive measures to prevent damage to the rv water systems.

in actual fact, on the Revcon, the tanks and water lines are all internal, not in any "basement" so to speak...yes Im residing in the unit dueing the winter for the first time...been advised by other Revcon owners the furnace does indeed provide sufficient heat to keep things flowing

Im not familiar with your unit, but some "arctic" type rvs have heat pads surrounding the tanks that you can plug in.
