Alaska Travelers in 2020 - Main Post

First off that is a Testament to there character..

I am not to familiar with Canada but what is the layout urban vs?

Are they testing at a rapid state like the USA is? Read today that America is able to test 500k people a day.. I’m sure the numbers of infection will go up as the testing goes up as that makes sense.

What really matters at the end of the day in reference to infections is how many are actually sick or in the hospital? Hospital visits would be more important to me that how many actually have it per se.. by the time the first person shows symptoms they have infected multiples around them .. so testing is done and is a little too late..

I also feel that this virus was able to attack the weak in its first run and now its infecting the not so weak .. had a fried. With it and was sick for 2 weeks .. his 15yr old son caught it and he was sick for 2 days.

Just my opinion on these things and take it for what it’s worth.. no refunds though As it’s a service that is non refundable

Just wondering if anyone made it to Alaska..... what issues did you have and was it worth it this summer with the virus? Are things closed... attractions - campgrounds?

I’m wondering if we can put together an IRV2 caravan next summer with a bunch of newbies (like me) and some seasoned Alaska travelers. I know big groups make finding camping spots for everyone difficult, but it could be more loosely organized and people could join up and peel off but keep in contact and more or less travel as a group. Like a pilgrimage. Or something like that Thoughts?

Last time I was on the Alaska tourism site ; there was a requirement of paperwork showing a " Negative test result for Covid 19 , less than 72 hours old " or isolation on entering the state.
So if you don't have the test result , you can't just drive in and start going everywhere.
