Good advise and always do! I have conditioned my brain that 1/2 full is almost empty and get nervous when we get close. LOL

Although this post is old, I have second hand knowledge from friends who just went back home to fairbanks. The 24 hour rule is not strictly enforced, they viewed it more as a move along safely but don't dawdle. They did have a leaf spring problem in Whitehorse causing a delay and other than the stress of delayed travel that was their only punishment for over staying the 24 hour rules.

Never go under 1/2 tank, you can run out, or worse yet be forced to pay an exorbitant price at the really remote locations.

Are people seriously considering going to Alaska this summer? I wouldn't expect an overly warm welcome from a small town with no virus problems. I could see many towns discouraging long distance travellers from coming. This and the fact that you have to cross two border crossings. Things could change overnight. Hopefully we can get out with the rv soon, but I think I will keep it to a few hours from home until things get a little more stable.

There are plenty of Snowbirds that come from Alaska. We are currently looking at buying property up there when we return next year. I would not travel until the two week quarantine is lifted. All that extra sitting time cuts in to time spent in Alaska. Alaska has a cut off date for travelers, Winter. Lol

Road signs in BC state chains ARE required equipment during certain months; which, I cannot recall.
