Banff, anyone?

Hey all!

Next year's big trip for us looks to be Banff National Park during the summer. Has anyone had any experience RVing in and around Banff? Equipment is a 40' pusher with a car on a car trailer.

Any preferred campgrounds around Banff and Lake Louise?

Thanks, Bye! I’m thinking more along the lines of one of the National Park campgrounds... which is best, etc. [emoji6]

The state runs two campgrounds just east of town called Tunnel Mountain. They are pull thru's along roads in the park. Smaller vehicles sometimes share a site but larger can get a full site. They have full hookup. There are some local stores for light groceries and laundry within walking distance and if you're in good shape you can walk into town although they offer a shuttle service for a small fee. We've stayed there twice and both time enjoyed the location and views. Expect to see elk walking through the park at times.

Parked at tunnel mountain RV park last summer. Reserve early. We reserved in Feb for a spot in mid June.

On our first trip to Canada and Banff we learned something very important.

July 1st is Canada Day....Just like our 4th of July. Guess who didn't have reservations anywhere.

Tunnel Mountain is the place for you! Don't miss Jasper and Whistlers campground.
