California to Canada

Any one have some good rv sites I should stop at on the way It will be our first time to Canada...................Monterey to British Columbia.

Oregon dunes?
Whisler?
Victoria?

We would love to camp along a river or ocean.

We will be in a monico Knight 36ft with jeep

In Victoria we have often stayed at the WestBay RV park. Busy place, as tight speces as you will find anywhere, many sites are waterfront, a few 50 amp sites, WIFI, lots of activity in the harbor, base for the small harbour taxis which can take you anywhere in the harbour, reservations recommended. westbay.bc.ca

An option is Fort Victoria, not as picturesque as WestBay, about 15 minutes from downtown, larger lots and usually not fully booked.

For a first time visitor WestBay is our recommendation.

I will be with two other freinds and they both have 38foot Holliday Ramblers we are looking for 50amp full hook ups. Looking to fish I guess we want it all. Thanks for your input I will check out westbay and Fort Victoria .

If you're on the coast in Oregon, Cape Blanco State Beach is marvelous... in the woods but only 100 yards from the bluffs overlooking the Pacific. Oregon state parks are great.

In Newport, Oregon there is the Outdoor Resorts Pacific Shores. Very pricey but very nice. In what I believe is south central Oregon on Interstate 5 you might check out Seven Feathers RV Resort and Casino. Just a wonderful park with free shuttle to the casino where they have meal deals like $12.95 Steak and Lobster.

I don't know alot about canada but isn't Victoria on a island and how do you get the motorhomes over there?
What about staying in the vancouver area? Any nice rv parks there?

The coast of Oregon has great State Parks with 50 amp. Try Harris Beach State Park in Brookings right on the coast and near the harbor, Beverly Beach, Honeyman (near Florence), Sunset Beach (Coos Bay), and my favorite Ft. Stevens near Astoria (near the beach and Columbia River). Inland off I 5 between Medford and Grants Pass is Valley of the Rogue State park on the Rogue River. Just a few suggestions.

Klamath River RV Park, Klamath CA has nice sites right on the river.

1.If You come up on I 5 turn off at Olympia and drive north / northwest to Port Angeles, take the Ferry right into Downtown Victoria.

2. If you like to visit Vancouver, BC, stay on I 5 and I 405. I 5 again and keep driving north for about 2 Hours and the Canadian Custom will stop you with a smile?
You can camp at the Fort Langley RV ground (pull-throughs). Easy to get to.
You can take BC ferries from Tsawwassen, BC to Swartz Bay.
Go fishing in and around Port Hardy, way up north on Vancouver Island..
You will have fun. If you come in September, you could fish with the Baers!!!?

Alaska Cruise ships right in front of your nose and most evenings BAERS too,
sometimes even in the morning... Great Place.
The Baers do not shake hands!!!!
