Can you drive through Canada with propane on?

Wondering if it is legal to drive through Ontario and Quebec provinces with the propane turned on to run the refrigerator. And do you have to turn it off at border crossings? Thanks!

No problem, and no, you don't need to turn it off at border crossing.

My first thought is, "It's CANADA so they probably want it off." On the other hand, we just went back and forth through CANADA (6/10/2022 - 6/18/2022). T
here was never any mention or notifications to shut the propane off when driving. Sometimes even when traveling through the U.S. they want it off when going through tunnels.

We didn't have to turn it off at the border crossings either.

I hope you are aware of Canada's new ARRIVE CAN sign in program???? You might be refused entry if you don't signup 4 days in advance of your crossing date?

I live in Northern Ontario and always drive with my propane on. No problems crossing the border into Minnesota or back into Ontario either.

Thank you, I can have peace of mind to leave the propane on. My fridge will be pretty empty anyway since I don't want to too much carry food across the border just to toss it out. Yes, already started ArriveCan!
