I had to laugh when he says "a lot of Canadians vacation in America". Where does he think Canada is located? It's part of North America.
UPDATE: Sorry I just realized he is a lawyer.

And if I drive a couple hours north into Canada and start calling the residents there "Americans", I'm going to be . . . firmly corrected. And probably bloody.
(Lehto is great on his legal-advice vids. As an ex-lawyer, I send people to look at them.)

Different education system. Here, America is a country on the continent of North America. There are three Countries in North America.
Canada,
USA, often referred to as America
Mexico.
Call a Canadian or Mexican an American and it won’t go over well.

However America is not a country it is a continent; we are "the United States of America" Technicality I know, and correct.
Anyway it's too minor to debate.

Again, probably a school system thing. I know of no American continent. North America, South America, but no America.
Meh. No big deal. You guys spell words like colour, flavour, humour, neighbour etc etc etc without an o. Always looks weird. LOL.
Cheers.

I wouldn't think so...but if they did, it would be done with the utmost respect and politeness.
