Crossing the Canadian Border from Central ND

Are there any problems with crossing into Canada from central North Dakota? Possible routes seem to be State routes 10 or 14 or US Hwy 281.

Provided you know and are following all the Canadian rules , pertaining to food and firearms you should be good to cross anywhere .

BUT if you're heading to Alaska , be aware that a section of the Alaska highway is closed due to wildfire , shut down this morning , just north of Fort St. John no detour available.

Here's a good resource for all border crossing points. Be aware of their hours of operation. Not all are open around the clock.

The North East of BC and Northern Alberta , had one of the driest winters on record .

This evenings BC news , 21,000 residents of Fort St. John are under an evacuation alert .
They have to be ready to leave on an hours notice.

Will also be crossing mid ND next week. Easy. Passports in order, any other required paperwork in order, be aware of what food can & cannot be brought into Canada, no firewood. Dead simple.

Did a crossing a few years ago. Wheels were not even stopped for a minute.
