We are driving from Arkansas to Alaska in July-August. We have to push early in the trip in order to be able to do our trip this year and with gas prices were looking for ways to save time and money. Does anyone know if the Wal-Mart stores in Canada allow overnight parking? Or the area gas stations? Don't mind filling up if we can park in the back for awhile. I hate to roar into an RV park at 10 p.m.-midnight and crank up and leave out at 6 a.m. the next morning. Just looking for a place to get some quick shuteye. Once we get to Liard Hot Springs we slow down and will be staying at the campgrounds. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Most (but not all) Wal-Mart stores in Canada allow overnight parking as long as you park in a remote area of the parking lot and don't break out lawn chairs, grills, etc. If you are traveling along a major highway, truck stops are a good bet as well. If you are going to be traveling through Alberta, I suggest that you make time to visit Banff and Lake Louise. You won't be dissappointed!
