Fuel Concerns along the Cassiar or ALCAN routes

I've been reading the Alaska 2022 thread. It has been said that diesel is available readily and also said to keep fueled up above the 1/2 tank mark. My GMC one ton dually can tow roughly 150 miles on the top half of the tank. There are stretches along those routes that are 300+ miles between towns with more than a few hundred people. What's the best source of where to find diesel along those routes? Should I plan on carrying extra fuel cans to get me to the next fueling station?

We have driven to Alaska 2 times: once along the ALCAN, once following the Cassiar. Both time in rental 32 ft class C gas coach. Never had a worry about fuel. The rigs averaged about 8 mpg.

From my trip log, these were my fuel stop across Canada and into AK
Pincher Crk, AB Canmore, AB Jasper, AB Prince George, BC Dawson Creek, BC Fort St John, BC Fort Nelson, BC Watson Lake, YT Whitehorse, YT Haines Juncktion, YT Tok, AK Valdez, AK Glennallen, AK Palmer, AK Talkeetna, AK Healey, AK Talkeetna, AK Anchorage, AK

On the trip along the Cassiar, I filled up on average, about every 180 miles. I have fill up info but not actual fuel stop.

Enjoy your trip.

We just got back from Alaska. Drove the Alcan and Cassair and fuel was not a problem. DEF was only available in large cities, so I carried two or three boxes with me at all times.

Small town will have fuel... not cheap but the whole trip will not be cheap. Everyone seems to do just fine for fuel issues.

Always drive off the top ½ of your fuel tank! Situations change frequently, fuel stops and restaurants close/open during difficult times.
Milepost magazine is published every year, BUT, the information is collected the prior year; only the road maps remain the same every year.
When we made the drive we had a 1T Duramax dually with standard fuel tank. Driving off the top ½ of the tank only, I never ran low on fuel.

OTOH, I stopped to help a man towing a small TT, he was out of gasoline because he failed to fill up when he got to ½ tank, then when he really needed gas the next station was closed.
