Icefields parkway Hwy 93

Entering Canada thru Summas within the next week. Hwy. 1 to Hwy 93 then North. Road report (511) shows Hwy. 93 weight restriction 4500Kg. due to bridge work which I greatly exceed! Need factual info as to using this route.

I'm fortunate that we won't be going that way until October. Hope works finishes quickly for the summer crowds. Don't think there is a detour other than going from Calgary to Red Deer and missing the best part of the Rockies.

Just curious... I presume the issue that caused this alert has been corrected. I just checked the website and didn't see anything aside from the notification of the road being snow covered. Has the weight restriction been removed? The reason I ask is RVTW is listing the Parkway as not RV capable, still. I figure it's just old data about this weight restriction. We're heading up that way this summer. Thanks.

We came down in October in our 36' towing a fullsize SUV and had no problems. Great trip with lots to see and explore.

We drove 93 in both directions in August with no issues other than tourists driving like tourists. We were in a 45 footer with a toad.
