Seward rv parks.

I was trying to reserve a site at one of the city rv parks in Seward Ak for a July 2023 Alaska trip. There are several campgrounds run by the town but the web page for reservations show al the campgrounds to be completely reserved for the time we want to be there in July 2023. Do they actually fill up this early or has the window for reservations not open up yet? Anyone out there know?

I just checked & found this on the opening page. We stayed at the Waterfront C.G. & absolutely loved it - front row & could watch all the water activity, ships & otters. July 4 holiday is extremely crowded. There's the annual Mount Marathon Race along with many activities. Alaskans like to camp, also. Good luck! Don't miss going to Homer while in that direction.

"***ADVISORIES***

We have not selected a date to open the 2023 summer reservations. This date is usually selected in the beginning of the year. Once a date is selected we will post it here and send it out in our newsletter. You may sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page.
Like many others, we are extremely understaffed. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we do our best to take care of our campgrounds and our guests. "

Thanks Twogypsies. Guess that notice was posted after I had accessed the site a couple of weeks ago. I signed up for the newsletter and will bide my time until they open up reservations.

Tour companies make reservations as soon as their schedule is stamped approved. This means some make tentative reservations now for next year.
We were there July 2012, and there were 3 other tour caravans there too. Our caravan was adjoining the docks, the others were back of us with shade trees.

That waterfront CG sounds like a good place for a summer job to pay for the round trip.

Fourth of July time is absolutely nuts with folks from anchorage going to Seward.

This blog lists all RV parks in/near Seward: https://trekkn.co/rv-parks-seward-alaska/
Waterfront CG is actually several, all owned/operated by the city of Seward.
