I have chronic sinusitis from allergies. Most of the time I keep it under good control, but occasionally I get coughing fits. They usually last 2-3 days before the serious decongestants start working. And while I am very familiar with the difference between my chronic issues and a cold or flu, I do not expect others to know that! When I get a cough, I mask up and stay away from people as much as I can. For this Thanksgiving family dinner, I got a home rapid COVID test just for confidence. I have 3 very young grandchildren that can’t be vaccinated, so we all wanted some confirmation. Turns out another grandson, recently vaccinated, also woke up with a cough, and his dad came over to pick up one of the tests for him. It let everybody feel more comfortable.

As for how this related to RVing, I intend on buying a few more tests to take with us when we leave after Christmas for Arizona. Not too many, because I have to payout of pocket for a while, but I want them available. We get with a group at Quartzsite each year, and there is usually a few people with chronic conditions. If me taking a test can help them feel comfortable, I am all for it.

I should get a couple of the tests. I didn’t get tested because that would have put me in close contact with more people. Besides I’m not familiar with where I’m at and driving a Class A around town would have been more stressful than not knowing.

Just bought two more test kits at Walmart today, still $14.95.

I had no idea they sold them. I’m kind of out of touch with the world. Thanks.

Curious - I'm seeing prices of $200 or more at some locations for testing. Are those tests more accurate? Faster?

It has a test swab for your nose and you then wait 15 minutes for the result.

I have no idea how accurate they are.

There are two test swabs per box.

Here are the symptoms of Covid. You had sore throat, runny nose, fever.... which are on the list.

Runny nose is NOT on the list. That pretty much excludes COVID
