Can you really believe the state censored news that comes out of Russia or China? Those countries don't report anything that might have them look weak.

Well, consider this; They just sent a cargo plane of applicable medical supplies to the US.
If their country was ravaged by the virus, why would they do this? Or, do you think their stockpile is so great, they can supply their 'ravaged' country, and give some away to their greatest adversary?

Guys, don’t sweat it, this is what he said would happen,
“Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away.”

Trump called Russia requesting the aid and paid for about half of what was shipped. Russia donated the other half. It's a major diplomatic win for Russia. I would expect Russia will keep sending planes loads on a regular basis until we say no more. It would make them look good on the world stage. And right now Trump needs those supplies to lessen domestic issues.
If you don't believe in the numbers being used, then what source would you believe? Or perhaps just make up some feel good numbers. We've already seen those. Considering how many locations are reporting cases and deaths there is going to be errors in tabulating these values at the rate this is moving.

I'm only 59 and was diagnosed with COPD about 15 years ago. My lung capacity was 41% last year......you throw in a couple of years of lung cancer and I get paranoid enough to wear a mask in public. I'm hunkered down.

Lots of BS and emotional stuff plus [Mod Edit] on this thread
Keep in mind the average death rate from all causes is around 7500 per day and will increase as the population grows
Sure this is bad but arm chair quarterbacks and blame games really helps feed your ego
There is always something good that can be helpful and found in any situation
Interesting how things evolved and how perception becomes reality for many
How many of you naysayers have helped your neighbors lately?

No person caused Covid-19. People have provided greatly different levels of leadership in preparing and responding. The virus has not impacted every place equally. Some due to social-geographic differences, but in many cases clearly different leadership skill sets.
There will be so many research papers and books written about this in the years to come. History will get it sorted out.

Hold on now, take a deep breath and let's look at this without the hysteria.
Almost everyone who gets this, survives! It takes its biggest toll on folks who are already sick. Most of them are in bad shape to begin with and may have died anyway. In fact many who have died would have died without the virus.
Lots of folks have already had this virus and have recovered and are now immune. When we get enough of these folks we can start working again. Of course we will need to adopt better measures to prevent the spread, but we should have been doing that anyway. We're learning a lot as we go here.
Of course more folks will die. They'll die of the ordinary flue, pneumonia, cancer, ect. It's a condition of life to die. We all will. No, I don't want the virus either.
The point is that someday, sooner rather than later, we have to go back to work as a nation. We will adopt things we have learned to slow the spread of this virus and we will carry on. We really have no choice.
We've been through worse epidemics with no fanfare at all. This is getting blown way out of proportion.

Let us know how blown out of proportion it is when it comes to your house. How do you think someone who is fighting for their life feels when reading your post. Just try to put yourself in that position and go back and read your post.
Hospitals are overwhelmed, health caregivers are terrified. When you go to a hospital and cant catch a breath make sure you pass on the ventilator so someone else who has been taking this seriously can survive. Just tell them this is all blown out of proportion and close your eyes.
