Got my second Pfizer shot Thursday. I do have some muscle pain in my legs right now but don't know if it's related. Otherwise no issues.
DW refused to get immunized. Even I do not understand her reasoning.

DW and I finished up with Moderna shot series 2 weeks ago. She had a little redness on the arm and what could be expected as far as a lump for a day. I felt nothing. Daughter got her first a week ago and it gave her some chills and a fever and a bit of aches for a day. I took global immunizations for 20 years in the USAF and can assure you NOTHING described here even comes close to some of the reactions aircrews used to experience on a quarterly or semiannual basis. TAKE THE SHOTS!!!

With all the complaints about arm soreness, I’m wondering if it’s required that you get vaccinated in the arm?

If someone opted not to get it in the arm, an you imagine what would that look like if they went through one of the drive-through clinics where you don’t have to get out of your car? [emoji3]

DW and I got the second Pfizer shot March 3. I had a sore arm for about 18 hours compared with no reaction whatsoever after the first. My wife had a headache for a day and a half. Sure glad that’s behind us. We’ll be doing a lot of takeout until March 17 (we’ll be on the road) and then maybe try a restaurant meal for the first time in a year.

The wife and I got our first dose of the Pfizer vaccine this past Friday, March 5, 3021 even though our ages (were both 60) doesn’t place us in Texas’ “1B” group (age 70+). However for our county (Fort Bend) we were able to get on the vaccine wait list in late February for age 16+ with an underlying health condition. Both of use are overweight with BMI’s of 30 which is technically defined as “obese” which qualified us for the vaccine. We both had a sore arm from the injection for about 24 hours. I had unusual dizziness during the evening after the injection which was gone the next morning.

Our second dose is scheduled for Friday, March 26.

DW received her 2nd Moderna shot this afternoon. The nurse giving the shot said, quote:" In 10 days you'll be safe from the regular virus. The serious one will put you in the hospital".

SHE got her 1st Pfizer Vaccine on Saturday....2nd is scheduled for Mar 28th
Her arm was sore all day Sat/Sun and is better today (SHE reacts to everything)

I got my 1st Moderna back oon Feb 24th and 2nd is scheduled for Mar 24th
Nothing...but I rarely have any reactions to ahything

Got mine at Local VA Clinic.....Doc -opted- me in due to all the surgeries I had last year and upcoming one in Apr

SHE....although she has Letter from her Doc and has compromised lung issues we couldn't get her an appointment ANYWHERE locally as they are just now doing 65+ and SHE is younger.
BUT we did get an appointment thru CVS 2 hrs south of us so Road Trip last SAT and we'll do another Road Trip for her 2nd shot

It shouldn't require jumping thru hoops!

Wife and I got our 1st Pfizer shots on Feb 9 with just a little soreness in our arms as a result. Got the 2nd shots on Mar 2. Neither of us had any real soreness with the 2nd shots, and only reaction was my wife felling a little sluggish the day after, and a mild headache the night of the shot. After that, back to normal.

I'm really glad you finally are getting some protection, especially after all you've been through this past year.

You're so right. It didn't have to be this way but the national leadership didn't perform as they should have leaving the process for unequipped and unprepared state and local officials to figure out. The resulting chaos is the result.

How could anyone or any agency be prepared? The last pandemic was in 1918.

It's just amazing what you can learn by getting your news from sources other than Rupert Murdoch's Fox News and the New York Post.

Thanks that is very interesting. The playbook was created by George Bush era agencies according to that Politico link.

I wonder if the playbook is around today.
