Covid19 and RV Travels

Hello,

Curious as to how Covid19 has affected the members of this group. Iíll start with us. Cancelled a 2-month long trip out west (we were scheduled to leave mid-March). Are you keeping your travel plans or scrapping until next year?

Our RV has been sitting in storage for a year. Thinking about going somewhere this summer, but still concerned about Covid19 and traveling to sightseeing places with potentially large crowds and higher risk of contracting the virus.

Weíre both mid-60ís and have some minor health issues. What say you, travel anyway or ride this year out and start over next year? Yay or nay?

Thanks for your input.

Rose

We were in AZ and getting ready to start heading home (Ohio) when all this cranked up. We delayed our return trip home for 4 weeks to see how things settled out. We left AZ in late April . Gas prices were at their lowest in decades. traffic was light and mainly 18 wheelers. We didn't have any problems finding places for nightly stops.

I actually ran the speed limits (75 - 80) most of the trip. Our goal was to get home quickly with the lease contact with others.

Different fueling strategy saved $150 on recent trip – 1999 Southwind 35S

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

We canceled our 2.5 month trip, we were scheduled to leave tomorrow. But the DW has a very low immune system, so we decided to do it another time. Just a bump in the road and we will replan it another time.
