We got the Pfizer 1st dose last week in Sugarland, TX (Memorial-Herman hospital system). We signed up on the computer on Monday and scheduled for Thursday, could have had an earlier appointment. From the time we arrived at the in-car check in until we drove out was 35 minutes (includes 15 minutes wait time after the shot). This was set up as a mega site and it was very well set up.

So fortunate that we did have a long wait in the truck. We had been on 3 other wait list for about 3 weeks, but they were not getting the quantity of vaccine they needed. The list run by Harris county was a real mess on the website. When they opened it up, it soon crashed.

Susan and I got our 1st Moderna shot last week. No problems, just sore arms for a couple days. Though I get my medical care through the VA, they have nothing for me yet, so we went with the first thing that became available... a Safeway grocery store pharmacy! Had to drive 160 miles round trip to get there, but it was great... no crowds, no lines, and an in-store Starbucks! Now scheduled to go back for the 2nd shot in three weeks.
