We are keeping for now our four month trip to the NE beginning June 15. We cancelled our two week trip to the FL Panhandle starting April 6. Amazing that some parks... even over two weeks out...are not refunding all our deposits.

I would expect parks to honor their published cancellation policies. Are you saying that parks are not refunding deposits that should be returned under the cancellation policy in place at the time you made the reservation?
Or are you saying the parks should refund deposits regardless of the cancellation policy you agreed to when you made the reservation?

Travel interruption insurance is not refunding because of the lockdown. As long as the park, hotel, house, etc. remains open and no one covered by the policy has a qualifying medical event, the insurance does not cover a cancellation.
We are in the vacation rental business, and the guidance our legal and insurance providers have given us is that a plane cancellation is not qualifying.
Persons from Europe, Asia, and others that are restricted should be covered, as they are not allowed to travel due to a government closure. Same language exists during hurricane, flooding, etc. Where access is blocked by law.
We have had an approximate 50% cancel rate, with the policy that the person canceling is responsible for 100% of lost revenue. We have been able to rebook all of the slots for roughly 98% of original value, so it ends up being a win for all. The new parties get a minor discount, and more importantly a reservation in a safe beach destination that is normally booked a year out. Those that canceled are only out a few hundred dollars on a $10k+ reservation, and our local businesses are not losing money.

Giving the benefit of the doubt.
If you think you are infected and act like it than how are you going to give it to unsuspecting victims? In two weeks or so you'll no longer be a carrier. For me personally I'm trying to create a new habit of not touching my face and washing my hands more than normal. With those two habits you're not likely to get the virus even if you're in the same store.
If we can protect our elderly by shopping for them this will go a long way IMO.
My mom and sister are both sickly and we cancelled their Doctors appts. that aren't critical.

We were going to start our trip next week. Our only reservations were at FL state parks on our way across the panhandle. FL just closed parks for 60 days starting the 20th. Since we own our RV lot, we are just going to stay put for a while and see how things play out.
When we started planning for full timing, we realized that having a home base was essential. We are happy now that we chose to do it.

We had a 3-month trip planned beginning June 7th in 11 different locations. Cancelled all reservations this morning. IMHO this is going to go on for most of 2020. Even if the curve is flattened in most locations by spring, most will return to their normal activities, and the number of cases will start to rise again. I don't think we'll return to normal until a vaccine is available.

We have cancelled a couple of trips mostly because of our IRA portfolio tanking. We've had regular withdrawals coming out, which involves converting investments to cash a couple of times a year. That time's on us, and I've suspended the withdrawals to avoid selling the investments at the much lower values.
It may have been out of our hands anyway. One of the trips was to a NASCAR race, and the other was into Canada.

We are scheduled to be in Colorado for July and August, Not cancelling anything until we see how this plays out. If peaks in May or early June we will go. If not we probably will forfeit the deposits and stay home. The people operating and working at the campgrounds will need the money worse than us so I have no problem giving up the deposits.

We have a whole trip planned across the states but the campgrounds are closing and don’t know if they will reopen by summer.

Some of the decision making got taken out of our hands today. The flights we had booked for 3 weeks time to go pick up rig have been cancelled.
A plan B is in the works involving a departure delay of 2 weeks. Only a few reservations had been made for CGs so no big deal to cancel them. 1st world problems.

Guess we will sit in the RGV till it lets up or the # of cases balance out.
All or Canadian friends are bugging out for home. They received call and letters, about their insurance expiring April 23.

Just to clarify for any Canadian snowbirds reading this, most insurance companies are ending coverage on MARCH 23 not April. This is based on the date the travel advisory was issued by the government and they are giving people 10 days to get home with some (very few)exceptions.
