Just scheduled a booster shot with CVS

Just a heads up to folks that are anxious to get the booster. You can now go online and schedule it at CVS, and I imagine Walgreens as well. They explain all the current criteria, regarding who can get it right now, and it's a relatively simple process.

Whether you're insured or not doesn't matter, but if you have insurance they want that information. I just needed to give them my Medicare number, and Medicare Advantage numbers.

I'm working in people's homes again and most are not wearing masks, and I don't either unless they ask me to, so I'm ready and willing to get the booster!

I called my sister about this earlier, and she called around then ended up going down to her local Rite Aid to ask, and the pharmacist said just sit down and I'll give it to you right now. Just make sure to take your vaccination card with you. She had to go back home and get it, but then she grabbed her husband and he got his booster as well. By the way she said that normally they do it by appointment, but it was the end of the day and he had some shots left.

Thanks for clarifying that, I should have mentioned that in the first post. Right now only Pfizer has been approved for the booster. From what I've heard Moderna is working on a slightly lower dose for their booster to reduce side effects. J & J is working on it too.

Good to know, but since I already entered my information I'll wait for the appointment in a few days. To rk911, they will give you another card with your booster information if you laminated your current one. I bought some reclosable plastic sleeves for mine and gave some to my family.

I've been following this closely, and they say that a Moderna booster is somewhere from 2-4 weeks out for approval.
