Ordering stuff

After reading many posts it appears that many of us are looking for things to do and are placing orders for items to keep us occupied. Good on all of you for keeping the suppliers in business.
However here is something to take into consideration. It is advised when you receive items from suppliers, Amazon, Ebay etc, that you let them sit for 24 hours before handling them. The health department states that the virus can stay on cardboard for hours. We have no idea just who has handled these items before they arrive.
I put on latex gloves and spray the parcels with Lysol and bring into the garage.
We all need to stay safe as the open road awaits us !!:th

Very good idea. We intend to start doing the same with groceries, etc., that we pick up and/or shop for, except not leaving them outside for 24 hours.
Canned and bottled items will get dunked in a warm water/bleach mix then allowed to air dry in our dishwasher. Items that can't be dunked in water will be thoroughly cleaned with a disinfecting wipe and fruit and fresh vegetables washed with soap and water then rinsed.
Stay safe everyone.

All that's great but try to find bleach or disinfectant wipes right now. Ain't none on the shelves!

Good video on handling ALL items from outside your home.

I ordered an item off Amazon last week. It is going to take until May to get here. Turns out it is coming directly from China so now I'm freaked out.

I'll probably use pliers to get it out of the mailbox. Seriously considering delivering it straight to my outdoors garbage can. Not that many $ involved

While I hadn't heard that , I had noticed that the delivery date on orders placed for Prime delivery was up from two days to a week .

AND there is a phone scam , with a caller claiming to be from Amazon , and having the last four digits of your C/C # wanting the three digit code from the back of your card .... NEVER give that code UNLESS you made the phone call to a known number of a trusted supplier.

Please tell us where you heard that and what’s considered essential.

You haven't heard?

Your Country has nearly twice the number of infected people than China!

I'd prefer to not be one of them
