Oregon opening up.

Governor announced that 28 counties can open tomorrow out of the 33 that applied.
This is great news as our state and local economies are failing. 3 of the 36 counties have not applied to open yet.

We're going to finally head North to Oregon's Newport next week...

Hurray for, I hope, cautious reopening of America... I'm willing, and support, patience where it makes sense to slow this down until safe...

Best to all, and have fun as you can, and be safe,
Smitty

not quite accurate. There are 31 co. opening, 3 didn’t apply, washington, mult. , and clackamas. 2 didn’t make it, polk, and marion. They are going to look at those 2next wed. to see if they can then.

So I'll guess we will know something by 6-1. It's a little late as Sisters has already canceled the rodeo and the quilt show. The Gov of Calif has canceled the county fairs in LA, Orange County, Ventura, and a few others. The LA county fair is in Sept. Stick a fork in us, we're done.

It was accurate when posted as I just tuned into Governors press release live. As 3 of the counties were not approved.

We are not giving up as we have plans to enjoy the Oregon coast in May,June, July and Aug. The weather is great and we will stay safe by enjoying the great outdoors. We have no need to be entertained and never really liked crowds. Being locked in our homes is just not an option as too many great women and men have given their lives for our freedoms.
After the coast the desert is looking pretty good for winter Jeeping activities.

Just read this in the RV Life newsletter this morning. As usual....some, ruin it for all.

"All dispersed camping (aka boondocking) in Oregon State Forests is temporarily closed as of Monday, May 11 due to excessive trash and human waste accumulation. According to the Oregon Department of Forestry, the closure may last for several weeks until additional resources can be brought on to sanitize the sites and make them safe for public use again."

We are open in Newport, OR. AND you do not need to be on wet sand!
Pacific Shores is open to owners only. GOV dictates this policy. Some ELKS ClUBS (RV camping) open. Call 1st.
July 4th fireworks cancelled. Groups greater than 25 will be used as crab bait.

We were originally planning to be there about now. Tentatively rescheduling for August or September. Want to see what happens to COVID numbers after everything opens up before we start traveling again.

Yeah, just ignore the science. You don't need to sanitize your drinking water either, and smoking doesn't cause cancer. And just who do they think they are telling me I have to stop at red lights! I'll show them!
