Many of us are old enough to recal the 1957/8 Asian Flu pandemic. Over a million and maybe as many as 2 million worldwide died with over 100K in the US. The world barely faltered

H1N1 of 2009/10 - I barely recall and up to 19K US deaths depending on the source. Nary a bump or change.

Will we go to cashless - beats me but I hope not. Will we social distance - doubtful as people just like others. Hand shakes - been doing that for millenia and it's a build in in our human make up

9/11 has been brought up. It brought us as a country together but again, we drifted apart. The US has for all intent, forgotten what happened, even NY City has replaced the destroyed buildings and another generation has virtually no clue what happened. Unfortunately, people are still dying from the pollution effects but to anyone but their immedate families and friends, not a bit of change.

So, yes, there will be a short time of regaining normalcy, but human beings are resilient and every part of our lives will return to whatever is normal for them.

Disclaimer - these are my personal opinions with some easily found facts.
Pretty much my thoughts also. Slight changes here and there but in a few years we'll be back to the way it was. What I'm wait to see is the numbers regarding flu shots later this year and maybe next. Might be an uptick in the count but in a few years,,, wash, rinse, repeat.

2 weeks after the last known case we will be fairly safe. Kind of like Russian roulette. So we just wait till the new cases are zero then wait 2 more weeks. Yep, like that's going to happen.

when the bodies stop dropping en masse the media will lose interest and life will start getting back to normal.
