Hi - We have been stay in place at a COE for about 5 weeks with certain limitations. So far there is no word regarding when the situation will change. I'm not sure that the decision may not be district by district meaning in different parts of the country the dates may be different. Just very grateful to be in this safe place.

We'll be at Skiatook the first week of June to visit the new grand baby. I hope it opens up by then.

Maybe we could get a new thread with what campgrounds, NP's, SP's, COE, etc. are reopening.

The wife just got notification that the Oregon parks we were looking to stay at will be extending the closure to July. So that will end our early vacation.

Florida State Parks
The official document regarding opening Floridia in phase 2 states:
"All state parks should be opened for daytime use. Some facilities within State Parks:state parks—including overnight accommodations, pavilions, interpretive programs, any large group activities or events—will remain closed"
Phase three shows the overnight re-opened
There are no announced dates for Phase 3

Parks that are open
I have noticed one irritating issue with RV Parks that are remaining open. Many have used the crisis as a opportunity to cut services without reducing pricing. Most open facilities have closed shower, restroom and pools and have reduced staffing or just quit servicing those facilities since they are closed.
I have yet to have a park reduce their nightly rate even though they have reduced the service.

While it would be nice if campgrounds reduced rates when services aren't available, but I don't see that happening. They still have bills to pay, maintenance to do & improvements to be made. Those don't stop. The closest you might be able to come is to see if you can negotiate an off season rate even thought it's in season time. Many campgrounds in the east have off-season rates (lower prior to Memorial Day & after Labor Day) when facilities are limited & they're trying to entice visitors who now have kids in school with extracurricular activities taking time away from camping. Can't hurt to ask.

This is what has happened at the RV Resort I live it as an owner of a lot. Our HOA's are the same. The pool, CH, fitness center and any activities are closed.
I did see that Johnson Beach which is part of the NP Gulf Coast Seashore will be opening up this weekend.

If they are full and do it or raise prices it is bad but most of the ones I have run across are closing areas where transmission to others or themselves occur and are trying to survive and pay the bills with a nearly empty campground. They are taking a personal risk and putting help at risk also and are managing it as best they can. I tend to cut them some slack. I am just glad that they are there at all.

I hope the campgrounds charging full rates for less amenities are still paying their employees. Otherwise it is a major ripoff.

This site updates every few days for closure information on national parks, historic areas, etc.

I would just be happy that the rates haven't gone through the roof to recoup their losses. I dont expect or need services such as washrooms and pools to resume this season. During the epidemic it might be nice not to have unreasonable expectations.
