#1. You are supposed to be avoiding social gatherings, not only for your own safety but for the safety of others.
2. I love dogs and mine is very affectionate and downright needy. He will survive not being petted by everyone and so will yours. You are the owner and are supposed to make the rules.
#3. Dogs (service dogs excepted ) don't belong in a store. They are dogs. They sniff, lick, shed fur and on the odd occasion pee on things. Leave them at home.
