Question Recent experiences traveling THROUGH NY?

I'm planning a cross-country move in August (not a recreational trip) from WA (where I'm selling my house) to NH (where my sister, who'll be traveling with me, lives) towing a 23' travel trailer. We'll interact with others as little as possible (pumping gas, restocking groceries, occasional Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome overnights).

We'll keep receipts from everything, and will (as much as possible) avoid the states NY has designated as Quarantine states. When we must travel through a designated state, we'll drive straight through without stopping (which will of course take some advance planning).

Here's my question. Does anyone have recent experience with being stopped in New York? If so, will any of my precautions matter? I see there's a health form they make airport arrivees complete, but can't find a copy online. There's an online form you can fill out before arriving in NY, but I hesitate to give them personal information before I've seen the entire (multi-page) online form.

Has someone on the Forum completed the online form, and can tell me about it?

I realize that much can change in 4 weeks that could make all of this moot, but I like to have all the info I can in advance. Thanks so much for your comments and insights, everybody!

I live part time in NY and have Florida tags on my car and RV.

We use the car almost every day and have traveled across NY and down to PA., in the RV a few times.

My buddy from CT goes back and forth to central NY every week or so. He has a summer boat here.

There is no one out there looking to bust out of state drivers.

With the way Poiice are being berated, I don't think they even care anymore.

We live in NY and have NY tags. That said, we've been from Plattsburgh to Port Jervis and back lately. We saw lots of RVs of all descriptions. We saw zero RVs pulled over by police.

Madeline, here's the link to New York State's official Travel Advisory: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/co...ravel-advisory.

In the Travel Guidance section, there's a toll-free number to call with questions.

Good luck with your move, and travel safely!

I'll probably wait until we're a day or two from NY to call that hotline number. I'm not normally paranoid (they'd have my cell #) but who knows in our current situation...

I did note in the site you referenced: "The requirements of the travel advisory do not apply to any individual passing through designated states for a limited duration (i.e., less than 24 hours) through the course of travel." So at least there's that particular loophole. ;-)

I'll bookmark the page that updates each week with the list of Restricted States. I'm just sorry we can't drive through Canada, since it would save us hundreds of miles plus be a far more scenic drive. Sigh.
