Sad Colorado statistic

More than twice as many Coloradoans have died from COVID-19 in the last 60 days than died in more than 4000 days from the Vietnam War.

NVMD not worth it.

Quit being a doomer.

Why not post the people who have recovered?

Good news is, that our economy is opening back up, and people can start going back to work, you know, to feed their families, and pay their mortgages.

Something doesn't add up with your Colorado statistic.....
Pretty sure more than 439 brave men and women died in Vietnam in 4,000 days.
Sadly fake news is a real thing.

Then there’s diabetes, heart disease, cancer, vehicle accidents, domestic violence, accidental poisonings and drownings, violent crime, etc, etc, etc. So why has this particular Chinese flu taken complete control of our society? Hmmm. Something to do with an election year maybe?

In a normal year, in the US only, 7,700 people die each DAY.

58,800+ people died in the Vietnam war.

Your Governor and Hospitals, Dr's have and are questioning how the deaths are documented.

Its now 1,000 or less ? now maybe.
The true count may be available in a year.
And the numbers will continue to decline.
Just like the original ( projected ) models have been proven totally wrong.

FL420, why dont you concentrate on how many nurses and hospital staff have lost their jobs ? Because of the response. Also.

People seem to believe if those who died with Covid listed as the cause of death would have lived the life immortal. 80% of the Covid attributed deaths have been in people over 65. That means had this outbreak occurred in 1920 instead of 2020 it wouldn't have even been noticed since the average life expectancy was around 55 years. Thanks to modern medicine and vast improvements in safety, hygiene, food production, storage and refrigeration people are living to an advanced age. Farmers are dying from cancer, not accidents in the fields. Steelworkers no longer fall to their deaths in their 20s. Famine is no longer felt in the US. Children no longer die from polio, TB and a host of childhood diseases. But there is a limit to our lifespan. Try as we might, no one lives forever. Speaking coldly, Covid just beat heart failure, respiratory system collapse, strokes and all the other life ending conditions to the punch in those elderly covid victims. That doesn't mean we shouldn't have sympathy and shouldn't take steps to protect those who are most vulnerable. But it also doesn't mean that we should destroy our economic system in an attempt to hold the grim reaper at bay, especially when his inevitable visit is near.

Every eight days, as many Americans die non-viral deaths as died in the entire Vietnam conflict.

You're making a political statement.

Many found it necessary to take it off topic and political.

Thanks for those that posted within the rules and on topic.
