Question Safely traveling with out of state plates

I wanted to know if anyone is experiencing any issues while driving into different states with an out of state plate? Specifically I am concerned about being harassed or worse by having a plate on my RV from a high Covid -19 state. Appreciate hearing what people are experiencing.

Depends where you're traveling from and to as of this week. These and crossing into Canada are the only restrictions I'm aware of:

Well I'm building a moat to keep you all out... or me in... or something.

You might be wary of folks listening to conspiracy talk shows, though, they might decide you're escaped space aliens from Area 52 (It's more secret than 51!) out to abduct them for painful experiments before turning them into zombie politicians.

We're not far enough into the dystopia to be immediately fear travelers. Yet. Maybe.

I have not traveled out of state since this mess began in March, in fact I have not been more than 20 miles away from home since March. Having said that there seems to be no consistent reasoning on these travel bans. For example I just saw where for the last week or so Kansas has a 14 day quarantine in place for people arriving from Arkansas, Arizona, Alabama and Maryland. Why these states, some other states have higher per capita infection rates, some others have higher percentage increases in the last couple of weeks, is it about proximity, then why is Maryland in the list, .... Why is Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico not on the list, ....

I have Florida plates in my RV and both of my pickups, one being a toad.

Came up from Florida, to NY in April.

Been in New York for over 1 1/2 months at the summer home. Use the pickups to rent trailers or launch our boat and shopping every few days.

Took the RV halfway across the state to visit my brother for a few days and last week took a trip to PA to visit my daughter, towing a UHaul.

No stops, no looks and no problems on the road.

FL tags, traveled thru AL-GA-TN-AR-OK-NM and currently in CO. Time about a month. No problems at all, we have seen a marked difference in mask wear tho.

We left Arizona and have traveled through New Mexico. An overnight in Angel Fire. (NoONE wearing a mask in the RV park, not even the check in staff) On to Colorado Springs. Same scenario. NoOne wearing masks.
Even at gas stops along the way, we have been almost the only people wearing masks, anywhere.
We are totally self contained. Enough food, etc...on board for our entire trip.
Have had no one give us strange looks for our AZ plates.
But...people are acting like the Covid virus is long gone.

I have traveled all over the western states with Calif plates and never had anyone say a thing to me or act anything other than frindly as I am to them. I would have a mask ready to put on.

Been in 11 states, east to west, since end of April. FL tags. No one's said a thing. A few wear masks, most don't. Everyone's been friendly. All's been good.

Good to know, we were getting worried about how our SC plates will be received in some states. Good to know that we need to be careful, we did one visit to a state park 100 miles from home a week ago. We noticed mask wearing in town at one location and not another.

Things have changed abruptly the past week so there's no guarantee how this will pan out. If you want to travel all you can do is to keep checking the particular states you're heading and hopefully you can return home without any issues. Everyone right now should be wearing masks in public places.

This no-mask no social distancing thing seems to be rapidly changing to everyone wear masks, everyone social distance! Here in Waco, Texas, 2 weeks ago no one was wearing masks in the local grocery store and at Walmart. This week, boy has that changed! Twice this week I had to go to both stores and I did not find a single soul who was NOT wearing a mask! Our county has had a huge jump in cases over the last 10 days... and the Waco mayor made mask wearing mandatory. On the other hand, the tire store I went to earlier this week apparently hadn't gotten the idea yet and no one was wearing masks.
