Still headed to Arizona for winter?
Wondering with the corona crud, how many of you have decided not to go south for the Winter? We are still undecided.

I’m planning to go to AZ for the first time. Will mostly boondock. I’ll avoid big crowds and practice social distancing.

Honest question:
What do you think will happen if you drive to AZ for the winter?

For us it isn’t so much afraid I may get it. It’s more what will be open and restrictions will be in place

Arizona is getting in good shape right now but no one knows the future. If you're an outdoors person nothing is restricted - hiking, tennis, pickleball. Indoor gyms still aren't open. Just do a Google to see what's open or not right now but as I said, things can change.

You do realize that half of the RVing world already goes to AZ for the winter and has done so for years and the good spots are pretty well occupied... right?
I'm not just talking about Quartzite, but Yuma, PHX, Tucson, etc - it's everywhere.
This will be our 5th year spending Jan/Feb in Tucson and we learned that first year to make reservations a year in advance.
So, if you're driving all that way from NJ you'd do well to consider making plans and reservations for at least some of the time you're going to be there. Or you could be sorely disappointed.

I heard from sources..... Arizona is REALLY BAD!!!! Don't come.... I mean don't go to Arizona! Go to Florida or Texas, its much better and I hear they've got COVID under control its much nicer in those states.

Well if things are restricted very much I’d rather be here at home where I have a nice shop to tinker in and family close by than stuck in my RV 😃
