Sun RV Resorts prorated refund note

When we departed a Sun RV Resort in mid-March, earlier than planned due to the virus, we were told by the camp staff that there would be a prorated refund. As you already guessed we did not hear anything more from them.

I talked to a friend who stayed at a different Sun RV Resort, is also staying there next season, and who also left early. They said that when they called to say they were leaving the next day, that resort immediately applied their prorated refund to their next year's reservation, which is fine with them.

I contacted the resort we were staying at asking about the prorated refund. The next day I got an email with a revised invoice showing a refund that was noticeably less money than I was expecting. I contacted them again and got another revised email and so far they've applied both refunds to my credit card account.

It's still less than I was expecting so I've asked for an itemized invoice which I'm still waiting on. They charge for electricity and it appears they're trying to charge us way more for electricity in March than they charged us in February. "Way more" as in about eight times more. Or they're not refunding the associated fees and taxes. Or something else.

So if you stayed in a Sun RV Resort and left early and did not get a prorated refund, you'll likely need to contact them. And check their math.

See the last bullet point on the last page of the attached PDF.
