And there has been people that got it where they are the only one to get it with no contact with anyone that has done any traveling.

Will it help, it lowers the odds somewhat.

I'm not seeing reports like that.

Documentation please? And from a reliable news source...not a Facebook post or other forum, but actual medical or scientific documentation.

I've heard absolutely NOTHING like this claim above from any believable source.

Late this week the Corona Virus deaths in the US will reach the equivalent of 2 days of natural deaths across our country

Recovery rates are looking better as time goes on

There are millions of people working across the country

How is everyone not going to be exposed to the virus at some point in the future ?

South Korea...... Uh Oh.

Looks like South Korea might be in a second or third wave.

Any virus will move through a population and then run its course and fizzle out. The question is do you want the virus to run it's course in 6 months like a normal flu season or is a 3 year time span better for non-overwhelmed hospitals that can reduce the fatality rate?
If this lockdown lasts 3 years we will all be reduced to abject poverty. Back to the stone age, and lawlessness in the streets.

I believe at some point almost, with very few exceptions, everyone will. Its not IF your exposed, but what you’ve done to arm, and prepared yourself to deal with it.

I wonder if looking back on this if some of our health care providers would have wished for a shorter period of being absolutely overwhelmed? Admittedly, some people would die that might have been saved under normal circumstances. This is not normal. It might become regular.
I don't think our doctors, nurses, etc. can cope with a "flatter" curve that goes on for 6 months or more.
Praying for our most vulnerable including my mom and sister.

I'm afraid my "opinion" might line up too closely to Doctor Fauci even though the media doesn't want to say it this plainly. More and more people will be for herd immunity if we are told that social distancing needs to go on for a year or so.

Dr. Anthony Fauci on when this current shutdown madness might end: “When it goes down to essentially no new cases, no deaths.”

Flu vaccines hit and miss

So will the new Covid vaccine

Herd immunity has always worked and will again

Is there any agency actually tracking quote normal death rates versus the current?

All uninsured deaths will certainly be Covid related

We are curently living in historic times and there are bound to be a few hiccups

One absolute is we have to get back to normal as soon as possible and that will simply be a judgement call

Society was already degenerating and isolating and economic impact will accelerate it

Great points.

I believe we need to give every proponent of herd immunity the opportunity to be intentionally infected so they can prove their theory is correct. This should happen in isolation of course, wouldn’t want them to take out friends, kids, grandkids, etc just because they might be wrong.

Do you agree that SD'ing is going to continue for months?

I couldn't tell if you want your method to work or not work. Not cool.

Social Distancing is the only tool we have right now against GETTING the disease.

The only treatment for advanced cases is ventilators.

If it takes six months of SD to keep most of us safe then that’s what we will have to do. Think of it as the cost of doing business.

It might take a couple of years to get the vaccine. In the meanwhile we can develop testing and isolation protocols to protect us at work and home.

As for the snark remark about herd immunity. That concept has been discarded by the people who are risking their lives to treat COVID-19 patients. It’s only fair that those advocating for herd immunity at least invest in life risking behavior too.

According to the news today, social distancing seems to be working in NYC.

Washington and California did the right things right away and it's working there.

I'm afraid that when they loosen up on recommendations in a few weeks that people are going to go wild and let their guard down thinking it's over. It's not going to be completely over for many months. Then in the Fall/Winter it will begin again.
