Will you take the Covid-19 vaccine shots Poll
Will you take the Covid-19 shots? Answer the poll please. If you won't take it answer the poll about why not.
Edit: I thought you could make multiple choices in the poll. Apparently not. If your answer is NO just select the reason you say no and ignore answer #2.
The poll has been closed. I found the results interesting.
The epidemiologists who have been working with this virus estimate that in order for the virus to die out there need to be +70% of the population that is immune.
Ironically, the results show that approximately 70% of the respondents to the poll will take the shots. If this is true of the general population and that is a big IF the epidemic may last awhile yet!
Let's all hope that it doesn't.

We have already gotten our yearly flu shot. Vaccines are all about reducing risk which is the same reason I wear a seat belt. So the answer is yes!
I would have no sympathy for a person that got sick from covid or any other disease that refused an available vaccine for ie: Polio, measles, mumps, common flu.

I am sure that just like everything else there will be folks who have side effects, some may even be serious, but the risk has to be weighed against the threat. I will get the shot for sure because I am sorely tired of being isolated.
I want to be free to travel again.
I want to go out to lunch again.
I want to go out to dinner again.
I want to go to church again.
I despise wearing a mask.
I want to see my Grandkids again.
I want to celebrate the holidays with family again.
I could go on...........

The sooner the better. I’m in. Let’s get back to enjoying all of the things we have been missing.

I have confidence in it. They say the speed of development is due to advances in technology, cutting red tape, and working around the clock. It appears no important corners have been cut. The Brits will be taking the shots in a week or two.

I get my flu shot every year and keep other vaccines up to date.
Yes, I will take it eventually, but not until I see the results of the first go-round.
We have 1 vaccine that has to be transported and stored in extremely cold conditions or it spoils. Potential spoiled shots. Another is preserved by chemicals. Potential allergies.
I'll wait and see what happens for a little while.

I haven't taken a shot in years. I don't do meds. I will not be taking this flu shot or any other. I also don't see the need and I can't stand the fact that they will use travel and other freedoms to make it hard for people to not take it.

For those of you that are anti vaccine, don't expect the economy the be shut down to protect you. That's what the vaccine is for.

I voted "No, not safe", but only because I feel the vaccine(s) are being pushed through too quickly.
I am not anti vaccine and I'm sure I will end up taking a version of the vaccine,, after we get a bit of a handle on the potential side effects it might have. For now, wearing a mask and practicing social distancing when needed is not a problem for my Family.
Edited to add: I have never taken the flu shot and don't ever plan to. In this case, I suppose I'm anti vaccine. I do realize that people get hospitalized and sometimes die from flu complications. Imo though, C19 might be similar to the flu but it isn't the same. Hospitalization and death occur more frequently because of it.
