2021 Renegade Vienna Camper Door Issue (w/solution)
After several thousand miles, I heard the road noise from the camper's door grow louder. I also saw an increased number of squeaks and squeals. I pulled over and saw daylight from the door's leading edge, where the hinges mount with screws into the door.
I got a Phillips head screwdriver and realized all the screws holding the door were very loose. I tightened the sheet metal screws as a temporary fix.
When I reached my destination, I purchased and applied lock tight to all the screws before tightening them down. I have not had this problem since, but I continue checking to ensure my door will not fall off the next time it opens.
If you own any camper, not just my make and model, it's vital that you check the door hinge screws. Before it damages the threads or worse, I imagine this happens more than one might expect in these days of questionable quality. This might save you thousands of dollars and a significant accident.
