Back-up camera housing install

I read I think here but can't find it, where some mounted a back-up camera housing from RV Cams to cover their rear camera. I am just wondering how to mount it before I drill holes. I am not sure if there is any backing up there or how thick the fiberglass is. My two thoughts are of doing nutserts or just screwing it in. Would probably put a bead of adhesive calking on back of housing once I had it set and installed for final time. Any other thoughts, would love to hear from someone that has done this.

probably not heavy enough to be a problem. call rv cams and talk to tim or brent. very good people and knowledgeable , i have dealt with them for years.

That was the first thing I did, spoke with a Mike and he said to screw it in. You are correct it is not that heavy 315Gram or 11.11 oz.

Honestly I think I would try using some 3M HD Outdoors double sided tape. If you get a good clean, dry, flat seal it will hold like 10lbs per inch of tape. I would hate to drill holes in my Verona

I hear you, not a fan of drilling holes either. But housing only has a thin mounting surface for tape to adhere it to back of coach. With my luck it will fall off, bounce off the hood of my Jeep then straight through the windshield in a rain storm. Once had a rock blow out the front window in a truck camper in the rain.

make a wider mount and attach camera to it with mount that came with camers and 3M tape assembly to coach.
