Buying a Renegade Verona from Alvarado Holiday World RV

Has anyone bought a new Renegade Verona from Holiday World in Alvardo, TX?

What was your experience?

Knowledge of the coach and PDI walkthrough?

What about service after the sale?

Would you recommend this dealership?

Any other comments/suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I cannot speak to Alvarado firsthand. Regardless of the name on the building (Holiday World), it is more about the individuals at a particular location. We had a great purchase experience from Holiday World of Dallas. See google review below from a year ago. Though I never posted a follow up review, Robert Ortolani, is much more than a typical salesperson after the sale. That is very unusual in today's world. He was instrumental and very responsive upon receipt of our coach. in addition, he was very instrumental as we managed together a few items after the sale in the first six months of ownership. We still trade messages today a year later. For these reasons, I have no problem recommending Robert Ortolani, or having you mention that Wayne Allen sent you. (Robert Ortolani- Cell 469-600-0504). If you would like more detail, please do not hesitate to reach out. I would be glad to provide my cell number through private message for more info if needed.
Good luck,
Wayne

"This review is of a recent purchase experience of a 2021 Renegade Verona from Holiday World of Dallas. It is important to note, this is the beginning, not the end of this experience so expect future reviews and updates as we proceed to delivery of our new coach in the next couple of weeks. In the past we have owned three large coaches, including two Monacoís and one Country Coach. We are currently pulling a 41 ft fifth wheel with an F450 and are wanting to transition back to a motor home. Intrigued by the Super Cs, but with little knowledge of this style of motorhome, we went to the internet and YouTube channels to learn more. After online research and watching various YouTube reviews, our interest grew in the Renegade brand, for quality of build, and customer service reputation.
We reached out to Holiday World of Dallas for a demo since they had several different models on site. Upon arrival, we were introduced to Robert Ortolani, Motorized Specialist. It did not take long to recognize Robertís welcoming low-pressure style. In addition, it soon became apparent Robert was well versed on the Renegade line up. As experienced coach owners, it is easy to recognize those that are just working to earn a paycheck, verses those that are truly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Robert falls in the latter category. Though we asked a ton of questions, only a couple times did we ask a question that Robert had to seek additional council to find the answer. In that case, Robert would reach out to the factory Rep for additional specifics. It was through this process we were introduced to Adam Wilburn, Regional Sales Manager for Renegade.
Through hours of discussion, several test drives that transcended several days, and a competitive, but friendly negotiation, we struck a deal and ordered a 2021 Renegade Verona. Given the education and experience that both Robert and Adam brought to the table, we are currently very confident we have made the right choice. It was through Adam's knowledge of inventory on the line, that a specific coach due to ship shortly was identified. Adam went so far as to take great pictures and narrated several videos of the external and internal views of the coach. Though we are now awaiting the delivery, which is expected within days, to date the purchase process has been energizing and pleasurable. We will update this review as communication of the delivery process continues.
More to come,
Wayne and Peggy"

I purchased my Valencia in late 2018 from the Alvarado dealership. The salesman I dealt with initially was very good but he transferred out before my coach arrived. I was glad I continued to communicate with him via email as at delivery the sat dish was missing. The Alvarado dealership wanted to charge me again but my email tracks proved it should have been included. Which identified a problem that I should have noted...Holiday World did not provide me with a detailed order.
When you purchase from a Tiffin dealer you get a detailed order worksheet.

Delivery seemed to take a lot longer than expected and I was not getting good communication from the dealer. So I called Renegade and enquired and they said my rig had shipped but to another Holiday location. Mistake or intentional?

When I took delivery the finance guy told me they would take care of all transfer details including notifying TX of ownership change for license plates. Guess who later got billed for toll fees? Lesson: transfer everything right away especially if they sat they'll take care of it. I think this was a way they kept my old rig off the tax rolls.

When I called Renegade for support after I took possession of the rig, they had not been notified that I took delivery of the rig. Gee what would the dealer benefit be of doing that?

At the time I purchased there was a large turnover in both sales and service staff. While some tried very hard, communication fell into the cracks resulting in unnecessary delays.

Wayne,

Thank you very much!! This is very helpful.
I am in a little bit of a delima though. We have worked with a person at Alvardo, and I don't know if it would be appropriate to switch salespersons within a dealership at this point?
If we get closer to making a decision, I might reach out to you again with a PM.
I really appreciate your responding with this information. Thanks again!
