Diesel fuel or ?? spraying on passenger side

We have a 2022 Verona 36VSB. We are very happy with it, but have noticed when we return from a trip, that something is spraying on the passenger side of the coach primarily on the storage bay doors. It is more noticeable on the area behind the rear axle, but it is also hitting the lower area (mainly the storage bay doors) in front of the rear axle. Washing with dish soap and water doesn't cut it. Using 409 does take it off buy even then I have to work very hard with a sponge to get it off. The sponge must be thrown away afterwards since the black substance won't come off of it. The driver's side of the coach is not affected. Any thoughts from the community? Anyone have a similar experience??

Got pictures ?
Now that you know the "spray" pattern, it should be easy to trace it up stream and find the source.

Check your rear axle gasket under the "top hat" cover as it's a known issue for leaking. It may just need the bolts tightened or it's possibly the inner wheel seal. I had to have one inner seal replaced on our Itasca and it left oil spray everywhere. What you are describing sounds like differential oil, not diesel which would wipe off easily.

Thanks. I'll check for that!

Thanks, but the pattern isn't well defined at all.

Not that I have a solution to offer, but if it was any sort of petroleum I don't think it would be that difficult to remove. I guess it could be some sort of adhesive or other byproduct of something on the rig getting heated up and/or leaking.

Work your way forward from where it begins: water heater leak?, something leaking from one of the storage bays?, or something mechanical forward of where it begins?

Do you see it when you get to the campground, or only when you return home. Maybe it is something from the road that you routinely encounter?

It turns out that it was diesel fuel. Fuel tank cap would not seat correctly.
