Exterior lighting

I am thinking about installing LED lights around the exterior of our coach to provide some additional light around the campsite. Have any of you done this and if so where did you tap in for power? My initial thought is to tap into the storage lights so the switch inside the coach can be used to turn them on and off.

Either the storage compartments or steal some power from the light on the power steps, which on my Renegade is activated with the porch light. Another option would be to install a system activated by a remote and get your power directly from the house batteries. It would still need a switch (and a fuse) at the source for storage, as some of the remote controlled systems draw a parasitic load.

I ran docking/backup lights and just ran to new switch on dash from chassis block by engine.
