Firefly Eclipse

I have a 2021 Renegade Verona LE that has the Firefly VegaTouch Mira software module. Two years ago, I purchased the Firefly Eclipse module for $850 to allow me to control the coach remotely. Unfortunately after 1 year, Firefly couldn’t get it to work. I was sent 6 different modules with each one being assured this would be the one. Firefly finally refunded my money. I have since read where Firefly is now promoting Ecilpse again. Have any of you upgraded your coach to the Eclipse module? If so, does it work reliably remotely? I would really like to purchase it again if the bugs have been worked out. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

I was considering it, until the Firefly salesperson admitted that they would eventually charge a monthly subscription for access to it. They couldn't say when they would begin implementing that plan, only that it would happen, and that it would apply to existing customers. It wasn't a big monthly fee - something on the order of $8-9. I just don't like subscriptions because they make me feel like a hostage, and including hardware cost of about $800, I decided I didn't need it after all.

Sorely Disappointed

I went through 13 YES 13 different Eclipse modules in less than 9 months. One worked flawlessly for three months and when it worked it was truly an amazing addition to my coach. It allowed me to monitor several things on the coach from 1800 miles away. Sadly, it lost connection with the Wifi in my coach which rendered me that left me blind. Upon returning I discovered that the Eclipse module itself had died. Returned it for a replacement only to receive one programmed for a completely different make and model coach even though the the paperwork said it was for mine. 13 was enough for me. I requested a refund.

Very sorry to hear Firefly still doesn’t have it figured out. You’re a much more patient man than I am. It will be a great feature when they get it working. Thanks for sharing your experience.
